Martin’s Cyber Space is a personal corner of the web — a place to share stories, photography, ideas and reflections gathered over a long and well-travelled life.
The Past
Martin has international business experience as a consultant, sales manager, motivational speaker, trainer, managing director, director and shareholder of several international companies over more than 45 years.
With an intensely inquiring mind, he pursues many diverse interests, with the overriding purpose of gaining a greater understanding of our place in this universe.
Martin and Laura — his wife and soul mate since 1965 — travelled the world widely. Among the highlights was an epic journey around Europe in a large motor home for two years, and an eighteen-month love affair with the twenty-three-metre, three-masted schooner Alegrias, sailing the Indian Ocean islands.
Dearest Laura, who passed in 2010, is now on the most epic and mysterious of journeys — the one we will all take down the line. Hopefully not too soon, as this life still has so much to explore, but when the time comes — wow, what a trip. See you then, lovely Laura.
Chapter Two
Martin and his delightful wife and life partner Susan (how lucky can you get?) spent years managing membership and coaching websites, creating products, building an online presence and living life to the full — with plenty of reading, good friends and belly laughs along the way.
The Present
Susan and Martin retired to the western Highlands of Scotland in late 2015. It was almost a calling: Susan was born on the south side of Glasgow, and the largest clump of Martin’s DNA is Scottish, mostly from the western Highlands.
They love it here beside Loch Sunart, amidst the ancient oak forests with the rugged mountains behind them.
